LEGISLATIVE UPDATE
Capitol GREAT NEWS! The National Pain Care Policy Act of 2007 was introduced in the United States House of Representative on July 11th by Congresswoman Capps from California and Congressman Rogers from Michigan. This bill will, among other things, promote public awareness about the problem of pain, improve professional training in assessing and treating pain, and promote federal investment in pain research. A Senate version of the bill is being prepared and will be introduced shortly. APF is working with a number of organizations through the Pain Care Forum to promote sponsorship of the bill. A detailed strategy is being developed to efficiently and effectively garner voluminous bipartisan support for the bill. There is tremendous optimism in the pain community that the bill will be successfully promoted and become law in this session of Congress. Please read a summary of the bill and the full version of the bill. |
Hi,
There aren't many on here tonight I don't think. I am still trying to deal with that CPEP machine so I am staying up late to be sure I'm tired enough to deal with it later.
I read some of the article and it really sounds good. I sure hope they pass it. It sounds like they are covering every angle. The research, the medical aspect of it and the medications. Won't this be great if it passes. Ada |
I think that this is "GREAT" Christine.. Thanks a lot for sharing this!!!! :0) Hugs Love, Desi
