Why does being on the computer put me to sleep?

Does any one have any idea why being on the computer puts me to sleep.
Do you think it is my chair not fitting me and cutting off circulation?
The lack of blinking?
hyptnotic nature
mesmerizing?

Irregardless of the time of day this happens.
It is a mystery to me.

Maybe you get relaxed

I find that if I sit at my computer for more than an hour or so at any time of the day I tend to feel tired.

What works for me is to have a break (walk around for a while, have a coffee, play with my cats) and then go back to it.

how many hours do you spend on your computer a day?

When you are on the computer you are sedentary and depriving the rest of your senses, just staring at the screen... I think you are right in that it may be hypnotic.

thanks
That is a good question about length of time on the computer.
At least an hour in the mornings.
Then an hour after work if home early. then 2-4 hours after dinner easy.
When Jeff is gone I have been known to stay on the computer for 6 hours. UGH!
Now that I think about it, I usually don't fall asleep in the morning where I drink many cups of coffee.

I think it is hypnotic too.

Being on the computer is only a problem if it is preventing you from doing
other things.

yes it is a problem.
I am lazy.
I would rather be on the computer than do any work. Yard, home, business.
I do the bare minimum....to get by.

I would be tired if I spent that much time on the computer
