This is Good News, maybe!

In all my years on this forum, this is the most hopeful news I've seen. In my wife' case, her advanced PD also involves PD psychosis and any reduction in sinemet, especially by 40%, would be an immense improvement in her quality of life. Don't know who this research group is, but they should be put on a fast track to develop this drug and get it out there.

How does one know if the psychosis is caused by drugs or by the disease itself? I have not been able to attribute the cause of psychosis to one thing or another. Thanks!

I'm learning ALOT on Dr. Medicis' website.. www.straighttalk.cc .a virtual goldmine of helpful information...one is an article about how scientists are looking to the microbiome to determine DNA expression.... also if you are really curious about your own gut chemistry here is a great lab test he suggested on one of his videos about gut health: https://www.gdx.net/product/gi-effec...ive-stool-test

Blessings to all

KNPV,

You ask: "How does one know if the psychosis is caused by drugs or by the disease itself?"

Is the psychosis worse while "on" or "off".

John

Since I don't have on and off times, although I dutifully take my Sinemet, to me it's a theoretical question. I can't test it on myself. Thanks for your logical answer!

Excerpted from Dr. Medicis' program # 346 :

" you've got
an autoimmune disease-you've got low
back pain-you can't get rid of........ anything
you've got comes down to number one-
above all the AUTONOMIC nervous system.....!!!

-- one of my real driving notions with genetics is what we are going to do in the next 20 to 40 years which is to completely and totally enslave our society to its' aborted understanding of genetics. Mark my words the powers that be will be crush the inquiry into epigenetics -- it will be crushed. Because the next line of garbage your going to be suffocated by is that your disease is assayed now--we can measure the genetic influence of the disease that you get....and on that basis you are going to be koolaided into believing that as those deletrious genes express and you suffer from the ravages of that illness and you watch your loved ones disintegrate that theres' not alot you can do but wait for the next genetically designed drug or have a body part cut out if appropriate. That is what you will be sold because that is what you are being sold now. And of course its not the truth....there will, however, be your epigenetic warriors...meaning all those variables that are under your control- that can shut off the gene that was on... you are going to work your tails off if you don't have a conceptual understanding of health . If you do not have a conceptual understanding of health you will never experience an epigenetic effect.....Epigenetics in a nutshell will come down to getting radically healthy... and if you are radically ill you do not neutralize that illness without getting radically healthy..if you are beginning to express the wrong gene ....you do not shut them off with a capsule or some herb...and its here now ....there's no science - physiology , biochemistry, biophysics, molecular cell bio, neuroscience - there's just no subset of science that isn't having a love affair with genetics- over the next ten years this will be a very real thing....all right..sigh...are you eating intuitively? The SOPD blog has done a substantial post on this research project.

Voyager Therapeutics: Phase I clinical trial update | The Science of Parkinson's disease

My understanding of the project is that, rather than developing a drug, what they are developing is a surgical procedure (MRI-guided) to inject a gene-carrying virus into the putamen.

Maybe the science behind genetics is not making any claim to cure anything, rather an effective way to prolong life. But, will it have the capacity to improve quality of life? To my mind that is sort of like squeezing a balloon-and my question is whats' gonna give elsewhere when they mess with DNA.
Its' not the technology thats the problem its the foundational allopathic model (and its' application) at its' base that potentially falls short.. imho.. This model is great for acute traumas and last ditch situations - but , for chronic illness iit historically addresses symptoms but when has it cured anything? I think both models are helpful but its the profit incentive that makes them both dangerous. No matter the drug or surgery do you think that the path towards wholeness (cure) can be attained wiithout,a healthy diet, good posture (anterior head carriage occludes blood circulation to the brain i.e. effectively kinking the substantia nigra), exercise, cleansing of toxic buildup such that comes with constipation, unhealthy dynamics in relationships, deep breathing, conscious attention to reactive sympathetic nervous system responses to common circumstances, the awareness of the costs of ignorance and laziness....etc etc etc ? If you do I got a piece of ocean front property in AZ for sale.....

If virtue was easily attained whats the point? or...does it really have to be that hard? Questioning everything here....

Kind regards,
MD
