New member- undiagnosed neuro symptoms

Hello,

My name is Chris and I am a Baptist Pastor in PA. I am excited about this group and came across it after a Google search. I am hoping to gain some information about my condition (which hasn't been diagnosed yet) and I hope to contribute to the Spiritual page in the future.

For the last four months, I have been dealing with pain (most pronounced in the arms and neck), shooting pain, numbness, tingling, and muscle twitching. My symptoms have moved, leaving locations where I once had pain/tingling/twitching muscles, and to other locations on my body (i.e. my face was numb for 6 weeks but is no longer numb... my neck was twitching but isn't anymore- my tongue twitches now... my pain left my left arm completely and I haven't had any new symptoms there, but those symptoms are all on my right side).

If anyone has experienced anything like this, I'd love to hear from you. Also, I look forward to connecting with people in this group and contributing.

May God bless you

Hi Chris

Welcome to NeuroTalk :).

It is hard to say what is causing your problems.

You could describe them in the General Health Conditions forum (https://www.neurotalk.org/forum2/; other members might be able to offer you helpful ideas.

All the best.

What testing have you had so far?
Have certain things been ruled out by your doctors?
Testing can help to rule out things even if it doesn't help to diagnose.

Since you mention arm & neck, any past injuries to those areas or repetitive work, weight lifting/sports?
Possibly a very good PT evaluation/assessment might be of use..could be soft tissue strains or trigger points..

I have had an EMG that showed mononeuropathy (that was before my leg issues and before I had more constant muscle twitching)

A lot of blood work, PT evaluation, a spinal tap, and six MRIs (I have some mild cervical spine issues, my spinal tap was clean).

Thank you for responding to my post
