The Buffalo Protocol - simple explanation please

Hello,

i'm having a real crappy relapse due to a emergency which lead to a very physical and hard days work. I had to push through and now i'm paying for it.

i'm gutted I though I was getting some where and looking forward to getting back on the bike soon.

as per title can someone please explain the The Buffalo Protocol I cant find a quick clear answer which wont involve lots of reading and my neurologist appointment is still not for a month. I feel I could do better if there was a bit more structure and understanding to exercise. Also do I need a heart rate monitor? hope you lot arnt as dizzy as I feel atm! thanks Rich

The Buffalo Protocol is simple. Keep exercise exertion levels below the trigger symptoms level, even if those symptoms are delayed. Keep in mind that exercise includes more than just heart rate. It can include effort that causes muscle fatigue such as weights to muscle fatigue training. This releases waste chemicals and such that can be stressful. Also, adrenal intensity levels effect chemistry. Calm focus/demeanor vs intense/pshyched demeanor has a different stress on the system.

I've learned that I can pace my work level and get a lot done. Some times, I need to take short breaks to keep the emotional 'psych' intensity from getting to high.

Driven, Type A personalities struggle with this.
