Need further medical medical investigation.
My PN was a rapid onset in 2011, numbness in feet basically no pain or burning
particularly. My primary care physician ordered numerous blood labs, nothing turned up so my PN was ruled to be idiopathic.....case closed. I tried the B-12 regimen(this forum's sticky). Can't really say there was any effect. I got used to my numbness, and was thankful that at least it hadn't gotten worse. However, in the last few weeks I've noticed that the numbness has traveled up my leg, along the outside of both my thighs, between my knees and hips. What should I do- demand a referral to a....what, a neurologist? I've never been demanding, and am unsure if that wouldn't be counter-productive. But, I'm thinking that being passive and hoping that the doctor will pursue the matter in good faith....might just be futile. Thoughts? |
We all have degrees of nerve damage and I've never gone to doctors...I treat myself. And for your issue now, maybe, try some months of grape seed extract and see if things change...grape seed ex works on our circulation, cleans/thins our blood. Grape seed ex does not much anyway, it sure can't hurt and MAY help you. Now if you take a drug blood thinner then can't take both. C

Just my two cents, but your PCP should have referred you to a neuro immediately.

1. a referral to a neurologist 2. a back exam....is that asking too much, if one has constant back pain and discomfort? |
