Elevated ESR

I managed to get all by blood test results which I had over the last few months..I noticed my ESR levels are 45 now, the range should be between 0-10,this has slowly been climbing for the last few years..I remember having another medical issue which eventually resolved after a few years back in 2014..my doctor made me redo my bloods that time because of the elevated ESR but it's still came abit high..ive kept am eye on it over the years and it has steadily gone higher.I spoke with my GP about it today and he said it's something I should mention tomorrow..am I onto something or just clutching straws?

An elevated Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR) can be a non-specific indicator of inflammation.

An elevated ESR can indicate many diseases, including auto-immune diseases with an inflammatory component like RA and SLE though in these and other examples more specific clinical investigations are of greater diagnostic value.
