Wisdom Tooth Extraction / Sinus Issues

I had a wisdom tooth pulled, which has left a small communication between the sinus. A few weeks after the extraction, I developed a sinus infection, which I've never encountered before. After some CT scans and noticing my sinus is filled and blocked, and ENT wants to a baloon sinus procedure to clean out my sinus and unblock that natural drainage paths.

The communication is estimated at about 2 to 2.5mm and the oral surgeon says it still looks bit red and inflammed in the area.

Does this balloon procedure sound like the best route to go right now? I think the oral surgeon and ENT believe that because my sinus is clogged, nastiness is just dripping onto the communication keeping it from healing and inflamming it.

I just want to get better and I'm trying to stay positive. It seems like there are some really knowledgeable folks here and I would love some positive feedback or positive stories.
