Tos
I am a 43 year old active mother who has recently been diagnosed with neurogenic tos. Surgery has been scheduled but I am freaking out. The pain in arms is bearable. I have a weird clicking and catching behind my collarbone. No one seems to know what that is. I also have intense pressure in my neck and up the base of my head. If anyone out there has some insight I would be so grateful

Explore our TOS forum - and the sticky threads there too..
https://www.neurotalk.org/forum24/ or use our search tool to find specific topics.. I hope you have an experienced surgeon lined up.. Have you had any expert PT and/or expert chiropractic before surgery discussions? Trigger point, rib mobilisations might be helpful , but does take time.. Do you know how you tos might have been caused? Car accident/whiplash, falls, sports, repetitive work? I wouldn't jump into surgery if the drs can't clearly explain what , why & how... things to ask - what are they planning to address with surgery.. Rib resection? Scalenectomy ? pec minor? This is not a surgery for just any surgeon that wants to practice.. Too many nerves & blood flow in that area to get disturbed.. |
