The Moon, and Mars

I just came inside from looking at the Moon, and Mars. Mars is the small orange dot to the right of the moon. It's interesting, but not spectacular.

I also had the opportunity to see a distant thunderstorm flashing in the sky below the moon. It was more the 130 miles away. BF:hug::hug::hug:

We had a storm come thru very loud and quick moving. The skies are over cast right now.
Wasn't there supposed to be a lunear eclipse????

Friend,

You must live in a fantastic place that allows you to see the heavens.:):):)

I have a lot of light pollution. I can see the moon but not so much the
stars and planets.

Spectacular or not, it still sounds pretty cool to me, BF :)

My husband is very interested in the moon and stars. I've asked him about buying a telescope a few times, but he always poo-poos the idea.
