Should I go on a longish road trip with my PCS?

Hi,

I've had post concussion syndrome for the past 8 years (currently 29 years old). During these 8 years there have been periods where I've felt normal, other than not being able to tolerate head bumps and shakes (I haven't been able to run for the past 8 yrs, for example). There are other periods (typically after an aggravating bump / head shake) where I feel very tired and foggy for a week or 2, and sometimes as long as 2 months.

About 6 weeks ago, I've had a friend that playfully ( but pretty aggressively) shook my head. Oddly I didnt get many (any?) new symptoms for a couple weeks, but lately I've had my typical exhaustion / headaches that usually seem to follow an event like this.

I've had a road trip planned with my wife and some friends for next weekend. We'll be driving for 11.5 hours each way (3 day break in between while we're at our destination). Once there we'll be camping.

I'm wondering if I should follow through with going on the trip, or if I should bail out. The long car ride with all the bumps is the most concerning part for me. Thanks

In my opinion, I would go.....Have fun....Life life....Please dont let your problems control your life....Its you life, enjoy it, control it, learn your limits.
