Body temperature at 98.7 found not to be not the norm
98.6 Degrees Is A Normal Body Temperature, Right? Not Quite | WIRED
According to this link, body temperature is much more flexible than doctors have been telling us. I have a low-ish body temperature, so when I used to get a fever my mdocs did not believe that I had a fever because I was in "normal range." (This runs in my father's family I believe.) =-=- Body temperature varies according to

My pediatrician, told my parents that my body temperature was 96.8 or
something close to that. So when I was running close to 98.6 or 99 I was running a really good fever, I also was some times really out of it. So now as an adult, I will tell the doctors and clinics the same. My primaries have always made a point of putting it in my charts that I run a low normal. So that if I'm running over 99.00 that they will then treat me as I'm running a good temperature, like its 101, which is what is considered a fever. Donna :grouphug: |
Temperatures also vary depending on which method you use to take your temp. I can't remember what the variations are tho.
I use a tympanic (ear) thermometer. My temp is usually in the high 97-98 degree range, but I've been getting a lot of readings in the mid 99's-low 100 range for a bout a year. Occasionally I will spike a fever around 102, but it usually lasts about a day and goes away on its own. |

Mine is never 98.6 anymore. The nurse said if it is around that, it's okay. BF:hug::hug::hug:
