New here

Hello everyone...I’m new here and joined to look for some others going through the same thing, so I don’t think I’m crazy. Was diagnosed with a TBI this August as a result of multiple undiagnosed concussions, who knew a long term headache after being struck in the head was a concussion...not me. Never saw a doctor about it until I went through a Defensive Tactics course for two weeks (aka - getting punched in the face for 2 weeks) suffered from a wicked headache for 2 months and then a sudden onset of symptoms. Doctors thought I was having a heart attack, ruled that out and referred me for further testing. Suffering from dizziness, lightheaded, headache, nausea, balance problems, inner ear hearing loss, sensitivity to light and sound, memory problems, sleep problems and anger issues. Been noticing other things as I get further into this and am glad to see I am not going crazy and am not the only one going through this. They are telling me I may not be able to go back to work (Law Enforcement) and May have to retire. Making life tough at home! Just looking for maybe some answers and support. Thanks

Hi frankthetank

Welcome to NeuroTalk :).

I am sure that other members will be able to offer you support and good ideas (I know very little about TBI/PCS).

Best wishes.
