Does myopathy always cause pain?

Hi All:
It's been absolute eons since I last posted. As a quick recap since 2005 I have had 2 brain surgeries for aneurysms, 5 strokes 5 big seizures, lumbar fusion and a host of little crap. My new hobby is falling 4+ times a day. I do have spinal stenosis and things tend to point towards some nerve damage. From what I find on everything it's all geared to pain. What it I have no pain? Just being able to walk and stand are going slowly downhill. If I have myopathy, should it hurt? It doesn't, Can nerve damage get progressively worse?
