to knife or not to knife

Hi everybody, a quick history for you:
In the last 12 years I've had 2 brain surgeries for aneurysms, 5 strokes and 5 big seizures.

Lately my big hobby is falling, I can't stand for more than a couple of minutes, if that. My right hand is "the claw." (good thing I'm left handed) no myelopathy, but some nerve damage.

The time has come to decide on whether or not to have an ACDF. I've been told it won't have me running and jumping again but should halt the progression of things. If I don't have it I'm on a fast track to a wheelchair. I already feel that I'm a burden on my wife and I don't want to have help all day. I am sick and tired of falling and have hit my head a few times. I am on blood thinners which would have to stop before surgery so my surgeon kept bringing up strokes. Today as I stood in my closet my knees kept buckling.

What would you do? I need opinions quick. Thanks.
