How to safely enjoy the beach?

Now having gone to the ocean several times, I can tell you for sure that it makes me feel much better, listening to the waves, and looking at the horizon. I strongly recommend.

But, while I am there I am also tempted to get wet and swim a little. I have no problems swimming in a pool, I do that.

I am afraid of these big waves however. I was SO tempted to swim a little, I will first need to get past the area where the waves break, by ducking like everyone else, and then swim past that... I am of course most worried about the 'ducking' part...

Thoughts? I would like to get an idea of how dangerous that is for someone with PCS. I am talking about beaches where people swim (not dangerous or crazy waves..)

THanks
