Just Updating - I hadn't disappeared! :)
Hello all! Southie here! I haven't disappeared! But I've been playing Scrabble with Doc John! ;) To give everyone the update: 1) ** killed off all my AEDS! :-/ 2) It's been 10 years since I've last taken any meds. 3) So the proof goes in this manner: ON meds or OFF meds - it doesn't control the nocturnal seizures. During normal "daylight" hours, I am and had been fine all along. So it's been "life back to normalcy" as usual, once in a "Blue Moon" I might be floored by an Epileptic attack of some type to some degree. The Doctors have ruled it "isolated" because I do not typically seize when I am awake. The truth be told, our brains are very busy when we're sleeping; and Docs have all confirmed ... it's best to leave me alone and let me be. There's nothing they can do to stop the seizures in my sleep - however, I do not seize every single night - it is estimated approximately 2-3 seizures in typically late Stage 2 and Stage 3 sleep. That is the final disposition. I never did lose my driver's license; and still very strongly recommended to attain it. With over 50 years worth of historical establishment and documentation (or better yet, a Life Diary) The Epilepsy is still confirmed as a Rare type of Mitochondrial and ultra-rare type which there's only 2 people known in the entire world to possess it (to date) - they just merely gave this type a Alpha-Numeric Case File. No one would be able to search or research it. But it falls in the ever-expanding Leigh's Syndrome (aka Leigh's Disease). It is interesting to learn that Leigh's once was clumped into a cess-pile of poop; has currently been all layered out via the "poop". Notice I used the word POOP? That's cause Epilepsy is POOP! HAVE A HAPPY NEW YEAR'S AND BE SEIZURE FREE! :grouphug::hug::grouphug::hug::grouphug: |
