rTMS

Just curious to start a discussion on transcranial magnetic stimulation - I happen to live near NIH, and will possibly take part in a clinical trial, specifically regarding its effects on memory in TBI (although in principle it may impact other symptoms as well). Interesting that it seems to discussed less often than HBOT as a concussion treatment, despite the fact that it is semi common for depression and other things (I think?).

Anyways, thoughts? is it nonsense? a viable treatment? either way, hoping I have the opportunity to be a guinea pig and give some anecdotal experience.

I have a rTMS device on my PEMF device. It's fair for me.

Red light therapy is much cheaper and effective for me and my brain.

The CCTV light from this article is super effective and fairly cheap at about $40 USDA.

I know about rTMS In the context of treatment-resistant Major Depressive Disorder. I used to go to a weekly therapy group for people with mood disorders. A woman there reported that she had found rTMS very effective for management of her MDD.

I hope that the clinical trial that you may take part in is beneficial for you.

good to hear these insights- my physical therapist recommended laser therapy for peripheral nerve problems, i suppose its worth a shot here too. I haven't heard back from the study yet, but another thing I had been meaning to give a shot is Lion's mane extract, and mine just came in the mail, I'll report on it in a few weeks if anyones interested
