Possibility of losing Medicaid.

If I lose Medicaid on top of everything else, what am I suppose to do?

I lose my apartment by June the first. I still don't know where I'm going to stay yet.

My Kidneys have a major problem, and I may need to go through dialysis. I have many mental health appointments. How am I suppose to pay if I lose Medicaid?

I'm on seven medications. The list goes on. I'm scared again. The future doesn't look good for me. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Why do you think you might lose medicaid?

Because our President is going to try to take it away. It's been all over the news in the last 24 hours. He's also going to try to eliminate Obama Care. I don't know how to think of all of this bad news in my life. BF:hug::hug::hug:

Friend
First, Medicaid is an state insurance plan and I don't think he can take it
away without working through some government things. I'm really not
sure what he thinks he is doing. But he has tried this before, and
didn't succeed. And it would take lots of time for him to succeed at
this. So try to remember we have time to fight this. And your not
going to be the only one fighting this.

I and many others for the disabled advocate for medicaid, medicare.
and SSI.

There is no way you are going to lose your health care coverage, BF :hug::hug:

Neither party is capable of passing any kind of sweeping legislation like major changes to health care right now...

Please don't watch the news and worry about this BS. You will receive your benefits because of your medical and mental health problems, especially because of your kidney failure, regardless of whatever ideas politicians are floating around right now :hug::hug:

Especially since I have a feeling he is saying this because
one of the under below him is trying to get the Special
Olympics stripped of their money. So if he gets people
riled on Medicaid then this will help her.

I have lots of contacts in the medicaid world. Nothing
has been being said about this. So I think its a smoke
screen more than anything.

Thank you Donna. Please keep me informed when you hear anything about Medicaid. BF:hug::hug::hug:

He has said emphatically that the Special Olympics WILL be funded.

Dmom3005 03-29-2019 09:50 AM

Yes, he got a backlash of people throwing a fit about the thought
of trying to take away the school money for special Olympics:grouphug:.

Many companies sponsor special Olympics too. So there are
many on board. Its believed he kind of threw her under the
bus because he didn't want to take the brunt of the thought
of doing it.

I don't mind generalities or statement of facts to reduce people's stress, but I would rather not get into the nitty gritty or opinions on politics on either end. The whole political climate is really upsetting to me right now.

Thanks.
