Help

I’m just going to get to the point. 28 year old male. Wide spread body twitching, tremors and trembling in legs for 4 months. Sometimes my gag reflex is delayed. Absent reflex’s in biceps. Doctor told me that they are the hardest reflex to hit. I’m really scared and my anxiety is driving me over the edge.

Hi Anxietyridden

Welcome to NeuroTalk :).

What you have described sounds very stressful. Has your doctor come up with any ideas about what its underlying causes may be?

Best wishes.

Thank you. The doctor told me that biceps reflexes are the hardest reflex to hit.
I had another doctor try my left arm he couldn’t get it but he felt it in the right arm and I saw my arm move. Also my knee reflexes are normal so are my ankles nothing brisk. Also the swallow reflex has been happening for a few years that happens maybe once every few months. Usually need water and it’s fine. They don’t know what could be wrong.

That stinks

Sounds similar to my son's issues with syringomyelia. Any chance you could request an MRI?

I had an MRI in the beginning that was clean.
