On the occasion of my 1000th post

This is my 1000th post to Neurotalk, almost all in the Parkinson's forum. It has taken me just over 10 years to get here.

Let me thank DocJohn, the administrators and the moderators for providing the environment, which is so suited to gaining knowledge about Parkinson's.

Let me thank all those who have posted to this site. I haven't always agreed with their views, but we have all gained from the debate.

Is it important? Yes: I believe that our health and prognosis is better because of this site.

Well done john. What's your takeaway after 1000 posts ?
The good?
And the bad ?

Thank you John.

My personal experience of PD is limited; an uncle of mine in NZ lived with it for many years. Apart from general support my main family job was to translate what his medics told him into English.

I always read this forum with interest.

It's been an honor to be able to provide a little quiet place on the internet for these discussions and to find some support. On behalf of myself and the entire team of volunteers here who do all the daily work in keeping this place safe, you're welcome.

And I'd echo your thanks to all of our members. You are what make this community, and what make it such a great one today.

Best,
DocJohn
