Tight scalenes after rib ressection

Transaxillary first rib resection 10 months ago.Scalenes divided from rib but not removed. Scalenes on that side have felt tight / pulling sensation since the surgery, with burning pain. Remarked as being ‘taught’ by medical examination.

TOS symptoms come back with repetitive activity.

Is this normal after this surgery, I.e. is the tightness and pain just the muscles coming to terms with being chopped off the rib?

Has anyone experienced this after the rib surgery and what eventually happened?

Yes, sometimes surgery only takes care of part of the problem..
