Perfume causes symptoms

This might seem like an odd question, but does anyone experience symptoms whwn smelling perfume/fragrances?

I recently switched soaps and my current one is heavily scented. When I used it a couple of days ago, my symptoms spiked, and since then I’ve been feeling woozy. My patterns of though are almost child-like and I experience sudden onsets of euphoria. Not pleasant at all.

Has anyone experienced something like this? Did it eventually blow over?

It could be allergies, I used to get the same thing and it was allergies.

I have been very sensitive to smells for over 20 years. Smell, as one of the sensory systems can overwhelm the brain.

You likely need to takes steps to moderating the smells you are exposed to.

I have this with all senses.....As far as I was told the new term is Sensory Integration and you have to slowly desensitize...I still have problems, may have lowered it by 50% over the last 10 years?

Its very difficult to explain to strangers and new friends.
