Mestinon and Imodium

I was having problems taking Mestinon - getting diarrhea. My doctor said I could take Imodium with the Mestinon to help that. I am wondering if doing that long term might be a problem? Do any of you have thoughts on that?

I took Imodium for years when I was on Cellcept. When I quit using Cellcept I stopped the Imodium as well and there were no problems at all.
