Has anyone had experience with Acupuncture for MP

I am new to this forum. I have had MP now for almost 3 years. The excruciating pain and sensitivity of the early stage has abated. I am left with short periods of intense pain if I move the wrong way and numbness in my upper thigh. The 4th Doc I saw (a Neurologist at a major teaching hospital) gave me a certain diagnosis of MP about 9 months ago. I am now on both Gabapentin and Nortriptyline, which reduces the pain and discomfort. However, the side effects of Nortriptyline are bothersome (dry mouth, metallic taste, and increase in acid reflux).

Does anyone have experience with treating MP with Acupuncture? I am hoping that Acupuncture might work so that I can wean myself off the Nortriptyline.
