Increase in Prednisone and symptoms worse!

I just went from 6 mg to 10 mg and have noticed more problems with my eyes like double vision and a drooping eyelid. Has anyone else experienced an increase in symptoms when going up with Prednisone? It's been so long since I increased my dosage and can't remember if this happened years ago when I started Prednisone.

I've been at 6 mg (tapering from 80 mg) for about 18 months and am also taking 100 mg Azathioprine twice daily along wiht 60 mg Mestinon 3 times daily and 180 mg Mestinon ER at bedtime.

For past year I've also been doing 2 days IVIg every 3-4 weeks, but symptoms have returned lately so doc upped the Prednisone last week and referred me to another doc to consider Soliris.

Hi,
How are you doing now? My husband has had Myasthenia for 3 years. We are currently trying to wean him off the Prednisone because we also think that it is making his symptoms worse. It takes a long time though. The second day that he took the Prednisone we became aware of the mood changes. It helps to know that you're feeling depressed or angry because of the medicine, our neuro did not warn us to expect this. His dosage was increased after an allergic reaction to IVIG. Since then he has developed the "moon face", extreme fatigue, weight gain, muscle cramps, muscle atrophy and sleep problems. We have halved the Prednisone over the last few weeks and so far we have noticed no change. It certainly hasn't made his symptoms worse. Not sure how long it takes to get it out of your system.
