Question regarding Anxiety vs Parkinson’s

Hello. My brother, who is 45 years old, has suffered from severe anxiety for many years. Yesterday I had lunch with him and noticed a drastic change in his behavior. He has severe “ticks” as he calls them. To me they looked more like tremors that could be associated with PD. So I started doing some research and have found on many sites that anxiety may be an early, as much as decades prior, symptom of PD. His ticks were constant for the hour that we were together. He said that they were adjusting his anxiety medication causing his movements to be more frequent. He rarely sleeps because of the constant movement. He has had multiple sleep studies and has been on more medication than I know to list. I’m curious how many here diagnosed with PD suffered from severe anxiety prior to your diagnosis and did your doctor connect the two? Thank you in advance.
