My Physical therapist and a question or two`

Hello, I need Nurse Bizi, if she knows anything about this.
I was told by my new physical therapist, I shouldn't have any blood pressure, blood draws or IV's put into my upper body from now on.

I'm leery of this, I have no clue how you would take your blood pressure in your lower body. But that I realize I probably can look up. Its so much that I'm worried I'm going to have to buy a new blood pressure machine.

The bigger thing is I'm not sure how to handle the blood draws, I have no idea where they will do this now. And I know already its bugging me.
I will not be looking it up. Because I know that there are scary stories on the net. But its a weird thought.

The biggest thing is going to be IV's, and as little as I will probably have them, I'm thinking I will not worry about that. Because I can't think of a place I want it put in other than the arm or hand.

I can't even get shots or things in the arms again, but i realize were those will go and that is okay. This is just so weird.

Okay, for the rest of the visit now. I had really been wondering
if my lyphodema wasn't different or maybe worse this time.
I'm guessing it is. Its also in my stomach. Which it wasn't last
time. And its also worst in at least one of my arms. She also
showed me a much easier way to do the massage. WHich
I'm very happy for, because I'd been trying to do it. And the way
I'd been taught isn't somethign I can do in one of the arms.

So I can do it this way on both sides. She is also going to try and
get me a pump. Which we hadn't talked about before. But I knew they
had them.

what you are going through, I don't know anything. when they take my blood pressure they just use a cuff around my upper arm. I get needles in my hands.
my drug injection is in my stomach.
on my insurance they have a nurse you can call and ask for information. I wonder if yours does. knowledge is power. If I can help and look up some things tell me what you want me to try to find information for.

Lymphedema in Legs & Arms: Symptoms, Causes, & Treatment

Taking blood pressure with lymphedema
While further research is needed, healthcare professionals are encouraged to minimize the risk of lymphedema by taking blood pressure readings, blood draws and injections on the non-affected limb whenever possible. In patients with breast cancer on both sides, these procedures should be performed on the leg or the foot.

I was fitted for an massage machine if its approved by my insurance.

I can't remember the name. But I'll post it when I find the material.
It will be for both my arms, and my abdomin. And stomach.

I think it will be very helpful. I got to try out the right arm.

It seems to be very helpful. And I think its going to be lots of
help for me.

I'm really hoping it gets approved.
