where can I get a QSART test performed?
 

Hi all,
I was recently diagnosed with small fiber neuropathy (diagnosed using a skin punch biopsy), and would also like to get a QSART test performed. My neurologist says he doesn't know of any lab locally that performs it (I live in North Carolina). How can I find out which labs in my state perform the QSART test?

anyone know where I can get a QSART test?
 

Do any of you all know of any listing of healthcare professionals who will perform the QSART sweat test to check for autonomic neuropathy? I'm desperate to get the test.

Yep, I did. Actually, as an update, I found a few places near me.
Vanderbilt Autonomic Dysfunction Center in Nashville, TN (but has a tedious referral process) and Sentara Neuromuscular and Autonomic Center in Norfolk, VA both perform the test. Other places a bit further away that also perform QSART are Cleveland Clinic, and University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

I've also heard that Mass General Hospital in Boston, MA, and the Mayo Clinic (based in Rochester, MN, but with satellite locations in multiple other states) also perform the QSART sweat test.

I'll update this thread as I find more information regarding specific doctors that perform the test and how they've been reviewed, etc.

I had the test done at the Mayo Clinic (Scottsdale Arizona). I had to book an appointment several months in advance to see their neurlogist but they do comprehensive tests. Make sure your insurance covers tests like QSART before going as I found out later that mine did not and ended up paying for the tests out of pocket (something like they deemed it 'experimental' for my neuropathy symptoms).
