Health anxiety sufferer wondering if tests can give a concrete diagnosis?

My health anxiety often makes me feel I have symptoms that don’t really exist, or makes my symptoms worse.

So, I’m wondering if a neurologist can make a concrete diagnosis through clear test results, or are their often no clear proof from tests?

If tests don’t usually provide concrete results, I’m worried that a neurologist’s educated guess could be wrong. Or could a good neurologist see through my health anxiety?

Tests are many times inconclusive, and guesses can always be wrong.

Forgive me for saying so, but your anxiety seems pretty all-encompassing on this matter, and I fear that there are just no win-wins here.

Do you have actual symptoms, like pain, numbness, weakness, trouble walking, talking seeing?

Request labs and an evaluation, try to point to something about your ailment that is observable in some way.

A clinical trial of the efficacy of the Wrinkle Test has begun but there are no reported results yet.
