Anger

I'm on the keto diet and so is my bf. We decided to have a cheat day yesterday. I didn't eat much of my.food so decided I'd eat it later in the day. My bf put my food up for me. When I got ready to eat I noticed that he put his empty food carton in the fridge and threw my full carton away and got them confused. I got mad. Lime real mad. Yes it was an accident and I got over it quickly but I still got mad. He said normal people dont get mad over accidents. I disagree. If u accidentally hurt me I will still get upset. I didnt hold a grudge and got over it quickly but he still said anger shouldn't be displayed over accidents. I disagree. Just looking for insight.... thanks.

I almost don't want to say a word but it almost seems like he did it on purpose. Throwing away a box of good food, I'd be upset if it happened to me. Not knowing your dynamics I almost didn't post a word. But it's bothering you enough to post about it.

Honest mistake

Morning here Jess
Glad you've forgiven him as the mind is very complex and possibly could have been an honest mistake.

Guys are weird animals sometimes and generally great at concentrating on one thing at a time, certainly my case.

Saw a physiologist video for get were he described the big difference between how women and men think. Boxes and a bundle of wires respectfully.

Shortly guys brains are like being in a small room with shelves all around and boxes full of one subject. Basically he takes one box down and examines the contents, works with it, then puts it back.

Woman brains are like a bundle of wires with electricity buzzing around between all the wires at the same time.

The poor guy may just have had to many thoughts going on at the same time, one of which I'm sure would be how much he cares for you.

Well, OP, now you've gotten two versions and as my daughter says raising her girl and boy, they are like day and night. Next time, use a marker pen and print on box, DO NOT TOSS AWAY. And this tells me more about one reason I never remarried...ummmm.

Not good to hold on to anger. I live with some from another issue and I know about that one.

Jess,

Maybe it felt like a lack of regard for you and triggered anger that may not have been in proportion to the situation but what are you gonna do we're all human.

Yesterday I waited at the dealership for 2 hours for them to fix a small speaker that was under warranty. When they were done with my car I thought the speaker wasn't working properly and I was mad because I forgot to tell them not to wash my floor mats because they put them back in soaking wet and get the carpet wet which I find extremely upsetting. I lost my *****. Swearing and driving erratically 🤣 It felt good to release some of the anger and pain I am going through with my neuropathy but I know that my reaction was an exaggerated one🤷*♀️
