Constant bumps? Help
My coworker picked me up today for a two hour trip both ways and i didn’t know she had a punch bug. I felt every single bump for all four hours there and back. I get really motion sick anyway but this couldn’t possibly cause a reinjury or be anything to worry about right? I know normal car rides and bumps are fine but what about constant bumps for 2 hours at a time? I am severely dizzy and nauseous and am scared it jostled my brain too much and I’m going to have a setback or reinjury...
Anyone know anything about this? |
What is a punch bug?
You will have a setback if you keep checking for symptoms of a setback. If you move on, you will be fine. You will only make things worse by worrying about this. |
Thanks, Mark. It’s another name for one of those little Volkswagen beetles. It’s a small car and it just vibrated for the whole two hours and felt like my head was nodding yes the whole time. I was severely motion sick after and still feel really off.
I know that people ride in cars all the time but I’m just nervous because i felt so bad after and today and it was a lot of constant vibration. Is there any chance of a reinjury with this? I know you’ve said in the past with head banging there can be an issue and I’m not sure if this would be similar... |
This ride was nothing like head banging. If you spent a lot of time turning your head back and forth, you could upset your inner ear.
You, like many others, need to get over this idea of these events causing brain damage or a concussion. There are many causes for these symptoms besides a concussion or brain trauma. |
