SSD Holding Payments Over Comp Case

My attorney contacted me saying that the SS had contacted them to inform that they won’t release any payments to me until my Comp Case is final, I didn’t even get approved on my injury through Comp why would this matter? I got approved on my Parkinson’s plus the ALJ only went off my Parkinson’s diagnosis date on backpay..........

Thanks For Any Help

No, that doesnt add up.....Talk to to your lawyer again.....There is the 80% rule, you cant make more than when you were working.

Your WC is 66.66% of your pay (tax free) then the amount that would be made up gets you to 80% of what you were making....

Sounds like its alot deeper than being explained to you....If SS overpays you they just take it back.....

Also strange that you have gotten a response from SS faster than comp? Alot of this just doesnt add up.....Get more info!

Thanks For Your Response, my lawyer contacted me today said they are working with SS about the situation, said something about SS somehow got my dates messed up and thought that my workers comp claim was the approval date of my SS ALJ approval which was not the case, anyway they are working on it for me said it was just a screw-up and they are trying to get my payments started so we will wait and see. God knows I need it........Thanks Again!!
