Introduction, Dealing with Chronic Illness, Advice?
Hi, I'm new to this forum, but not to chronic illness, unfortunately. I just said to someone the other day, I'm 20 years in, sometimes it feels like a prison sentence and I'm serving life (LOL). After so many years, still trying to live my life, despite all my various autoimmune issues. Some days are really good, some days are really bad, some days are in-between. I try to remember, that everyone can say that--even those who don't have chronic illness, but it's not the same. My biggest issue is that I live alone, and when I can't get out it's really hard. So any advice would be welcome.

Hi jaynehrnyc
Welcome to NeuroTalk :). The Autoimmune Diseases forum here is very active so if you share your story there you will get lots of support and good ideas from other members. All the best. |
OP: Do you care to share which auto immune issues you deal with. Not sure what you are asking here. I live alone and live with advanced OA issues and damage from hip replacement mess, and have learned to accept things and I work to manage it all the best I have learned and continue to learn. I continue to try so much.

Hi, I have a long list of issues, once you have one autoimmune issue, you are prone to others, but I'll try to list them all:
Sjogrens Syndrome Primary Biliary cholangitis (used to call Primary Biliary Cirhosis) Peripheral Neuropathy HypoThyroid Raynaud's Chillbains Chronic Ear Infections (led to recurrent Mastoiditis) autoimmune hemolytic anemia Fibromylgia Think that's all of them. As you can see, I'm dealing with a lot, plus I'm getting divorced. So I have a lot on my plate. Thanks for asking |
