Anxiety or Concussion?

I suffered two mild concussions in 2019, and a relapse in late October 2019. Since that relapse I have had extreme anxiety about my health and re-injury. I've addressed this through meditation, yoga, supplements, therapy and acupuncture. This morning I somewhat aggressively rolled onto my memory foam pillow, hitting the left side of my head onto the pillow. I am trying to convince myself there is no way this could have caused damage, even if I did slightly whip my neck. Today I have typical pain in my neck and shoulders from clenching my teeth, with increased pressure around my eyes. I typically am more symptomatic by the end of the work week. Definitely need some reassurance!

Anxiety can make you clench your teeth , hold your breath = it creates tension in the body & lack of oxygen..

[typical pain in my neck and shoulders from clenching my teeth, with increased pressure around my eyes]

possible past whiplash - that can create symptoms
trigger points in the muscles can make referred pain/symptoms..

Look up info on treating those things ...
and how to offset & work through anxiety..

Hi Mouellette1

Welcome to NeuroTalk :).

Adding to the good suggestions from Jo*mar, you could also check out the TBI/PCS forum here (https://www.neurotalk.org/traumatic-...sion-syndrome/).

All the best.
