Oh, God...He's already working on being a...
TEENAGER!!!! :D
Drew is always asking me now, if various things/behaviors are "boy" or "teenager"! I suspect he's catching wind of the fact that his 15 yo sister is fully involved in the teen scene, and to him, she has always walked on water. :) I'm getting very nervous about this adolescent transition. He's nearly as tall as I am! Yesterday, I bought him 30w/29i jeans!! Holy CHIT!!!! His voice is changing, and I know that all the puberty shtuff is just around the corner. H E L P..... LIZARD, gettin' scared.... |
Keep a consistent cool calm attitude no matter what....and a sense of humour helps a lot. Get ready for the ride of your life

Thanks, hon'! :)
I am definitely trying to chuckle about some of it, but I'm scared, too. He is so vulnerable to strangers, and as much as I try to teach him and make sure he's always with one of us, I know the time will eventually come when he won't be. :( Any other tips you have are welcome and deeply appreciated. Man Liz,
Drew sounds quite a bit like my Adam. Adam is 11 and has ACM, is hopefully being tested for HFA or Aspergers and/or Bipolar, is also 5ft 2 or 3 by now and wears a 8 1/2 in mens show along with having my rare disease and whatever else he has. I have asked if he had prepuberty because he has body odor and hairy legs but they say no. He says he has a girlfriend and talks about girls and stuff like that. I already have 2 teenagers so he is following them and then have a 9 yr old trying to keep up with them also. . Why do our kids have to grow up so fast. :( Gina Marie |
You are doing the right thing, wherever he goes he needs a companion to advise him on social skills.
