Neuro psychologist
 

Does anyone know how a Neuro psychologist works. The doctor ordered for me to see one so I know why when I'm depressed I feel like dieing and to exam my ptsd condition more closely.

Here a neuropsychologist would be called a clinical psychologist. Training as a clinical psychologist takes about eight years. They are usually registered with the
Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and can not prescribe medication (psychiatrists can).

Clinical psychologists specialise in providing mental health services including assessment, diagnosis and psychotherapy.

Typically a Neuro-Psychologist does Neuro-Psych evaluation/testing. This can be quite extensive. There is usually 3 appointments: first one is going over your
personal/medical history, medications, and current problems, second includes testing, and third would be to get the results of everything.
