And there are times w hen I don't get what I want, but it's the times we're in. So I've learned to adapt. Not going hungry ....

i am still going shopping to the store by myself.

i'm less anxious than i was a month ago. the governor in michigan has some pretty strict orders and stores like costco are spraying their carts and having them ready and at one time were only letting a certain number of people in at a time.

my fresh fruit and veggie market is the place that i feel most uncomfortable. no wiped carts, hard to keep a 6 foot distance. thank goodness i only spend about 15 minutes in the store.

i was looking for a mouse pad today at meijer. half the stuff in the computer department wasn't even stocked! no mouse pad :( . i don't believe meijer and the supermarkets are even restocking regularly. thank goodness they started limting meat quickly.

If you buy groceries then the social separation rule kicks in; you should never approach anybody else closer than 1.5 metres and when you get home you should wash your hands carefully with soap and water.

This is working; the number of new Covid-19 infections is much less than 5% of its peak. Probably as long as everybody sticks to the rules we will be free of Covid-19 fairly soon. Technically this is probably because Ro (the average number of uninfected people somebody who is infected infects) is less than 1 so the virus will die out soon.

akatc, how odd that there must have been such a huge demand for mouse pads! I've ordered them online a few times in the past but it's probably better to see and feel the actual mouse pad before buying it. I can understand wanting to go to an actual store to get one.

kiwi, I hope you're right about COVID-19 eventually disappearing. I have been hearing that it's going to keep popping up here and there until an effective vaccine is in general use. But maybe this particular flareup will subside soon. If we behave ourselves.

that's an interesting mathematical statistic, kiwi. i have never heard of "Ro". i do hope that is so because i personally won't feel safe until there is a vaccine or a drug that works for the worst of cases. i thought as long as even one person was infected and spread it, it would remain going until there was herd immunity, although i think that doesn't happen until about 70-80% of the population has had the virus?

right now, i don't care how the mouse pad feels or looks like because the black spongy backing on my current pad has stuck to my computer desk and i'm going to have to scrape it off. maybe i'll try a small notebook or other small smooth object. as i said, i just don't think they are restocking for some reason, maybe they don't have enough workers.

About mouse pads: For quite a while I used a sheet of paper because for some reason I couldn't get a mouse pad. It worked all right though the mouse pad was easier.

I really like this mouse pad, the padded wrist area is very nice & adds comfort for me..

well, i clicked on your link, jo*mar, thanks! i was looking at the dimensions of the mouse pad. i need a small one. my current one is 8"x8". i looked at a few mouse pads and the smallest are about 9"x8", but i can slide an inch under my keyboard shelf because the mouse is on a separate shelf that slides under the keyboard shelf. i'm just worried about thickness, but i guess i can cut an inch off the mouse pad if necessary.

agate, i have a small mouse (gaming mouse) and my hand fits around it perfectly. my wrist area rests a bit lower on the mouse pad. my arm is even with the mouse shelf and rests on the arm rest (no wonder they call it that!), of my chair. it's so perfect, as if it were designed for me personally! it doesn't bother me to use the mouse, so i don't know if the gel wrist rest would spoil the alignment of my arm and hand and feel unnatural. now i understand what you meant in your earlier post about trying out a mouse pad for it's feel...lol. i didn't even know there were mouse pads with wrist rests.

things have sure gotten fancy in mouse pad land.....
