Status report on alpha synuclein research

We haven't heard much on the research on lowering alpha synuclein to help Parkinson's. Or has this been found to be another dead end?

This is the most recent review on this that I can find.

Targeting Alpha-Synuclein as a Therapy for Parkinson’s Disease

The battle against alpha-synuclein is back. Between 2000 and 2003 many interesting studies were conducted.

Magnesium and green tea have already been shown to prevent the addition of alpha-synuclein, the spontaneous one and that produced by iron (Golts 2002, Xu 2016).

Could the elevated level of homocysteine in the blood and in the brain - it crosses its protective barrier - be responsible for the alteration of alpha-synuclein? (Enomoto 2019). This would add vitamins B6, B9 and B12 to the arsenal against alpha-synuclein, acting against homocysteine (the latter as recommended by Dr. Ahlskog in his books).
