Newest oral disease-modifying treatments haven't been as popular as expected

This article from Medscape Today (June 5, 2020) indicates that the new oral disease-modifying treatments for MS haven't been as popular as they were expected to be--and Ocrevus seems to be the favorite DMT--"Newest oral DMTs haven't yet made a big impact in the MS world":

I tried two of them and the side effects were too harsh for me.

Just because it seems easier, you'd think people would prefer an oral treatment but when I think about making that choice, I'd stick with an injection or even an infusion over a pill--but I'm not sure why.
