How dangerous is sleep walking?
I’m a 20 year old male with post concussion syndrome and anxiety from a lifetime of sports and being a reckless crazy child I’ve been having an issue. Quite often when I wake up I’ll be naked or in different clothes then what I went to bed in. Once I went to bed in only boxers and woke up with a tshirt on. Last night I went to bed in underwear with shorts over them and woke up with the shorts on but the underwear on the floor next to my bed. That means I must of gotten up or done something in my sleep that I have no recollection of at all. What concerns me is this leaves ample opportunity for me to have damaged myself. I could have gotten out of bed, changed and then slammed face first back into bed. Or I could have slammed my head very hard on the bed or wall or bedside table. Or fallen on the ground. Basically done something that would damage my brain because my brain is very sensitive. This is all quite scary to me, so I wanted to ask how dangerous is sleep walking like this? Would my body have been able to simply ease myself back into gently or did I probably slam myself? How can I protect against this? |
Your brain is not very sensitive. Your anxiety and OCD are.
