I have been looking for online groups just to get and give support in the neuro world.


I have spent the past year trying to get a diagnosis for my major extremity motor loss. I am now at the point where walking, standing, bathing, etc. are all limited. My current neurologist is thankfully receptive and helpful. But after labs, conduction studies, lumbar punctures, still no hits. Silver lining, we know a lot of what it’s not!

I’m not looking for a diagnosis (unless someone has one!), but just folks to connect with.

It sounds to me that your neurologist is doing a good job.

Though the doctors have to do the diagnosing and we're not medical doctors, you'll find quite a few people here who understand the misery of having to wonder what is going wrong and not having an answer.

Back when I was in diagnosis limbo, which went on for several years, I had good days when I decided I was just having problems with stress, or maybe it was just a slipped disc. Then I had not-so-good days when I was thinking in terms of a tumor.

I hope that your problems will turn out to be due to something treatable.:)
