'This Old House'! I feel like that?

I need a new foundation; the 'sills' gone'; the plumbing needs updating; the electrical system DEFINITELY needs 'work''; some other sewage and utility systems are, well just OK'; but, the walls need extra insulation and the landscaping sorely needs improvement!

Anyone else feel this way? Rite now I seem to need a heap of extra wallboard! - j

Simply trying to keep things in perspective? :thud: -sort of said it all.

Hi Dahlek,
Not sure if you're just having a really bad day or you feel like this all the time. I have days I feel like that. I see that you're in Washington DC. I guess it's pretty hot there at the moment. From what I've read it's been an extra hot summer in the US this year. I went to DC once. Can't imagine how claustrophobic it made me feel but then it was one of the busiest places (in the air and on the ground) that I've ever been to see, apart from maybe Tokyo. I had a great time there seeing all the amazing galleries and museums and things like that. I even ate a hot dog from a street vendor which is something I'd probably not usually do. LOL :)

Anyway, I'm just prattling on here a bit. I hope tomorrow is a better day for you and yes, it sounds familiar that 'old house'. Here's to cooler weather for you soon in the hope that it'll make you feel more comfortable again. I'd send you some from here but it's too far. ;)

take care there,
Lara

Well Dahlek, as long as you don't get termites you'll be fine! :D

Allfe Lara- you might be right?

It's gotta be the TERMITES? My folks lived in the Carribean for a while, and the saying was about wood framing: As long as they're [termites] healthy things should be good. Once they get sick, worry!
Some aspects of my health are making me feel like asking "Norm" or 'Rich" about how to 'repair' stuff, even when we know that our bodies aren't as static as buildings, I guess.
Wouldn't it be soo much easier to gut and replace at times? - thanks for listening tho... - j

Or maybe we should just come with a couple of spare parts!
