Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN)

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone had experience with Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) in treating PN symptoms?

I also wondered if it is okay to try it while I am on Nortripyline?

Apologies if there is another thread on this--I couldn't get the search engine to work effectively.

Cheers,

Paul

Hi I'm so sorry your Doctor wants all opiates out of your body to never use anything like Opiates. Doctors say well you are off Naltrexone you can use Suboxone but if their plan was to make it so you never feel any Opiate ,we live in a crazy world, and what helps me ,does not necessarily help you e me if you want Im in Oregon rsdno@hotmail.com

I've been on LDN for about 6 months, concurrent with amitriptyline; no problems with that. My SFN symptoms are variable and unpredictable, so it's hard to be absolutely positive, but overall my symptoms (mainly burning, and stabbing muscle pains) are at the lowest level ever. The LDN has also diminished episodes of fatigue.

Hiya--what dose do you take? I just started on I.5 mg for colitis.

Good to hear that it's okay to take with amitriptyline because I also take nortriptyline for my PN.
