New years day, my birthday was the second day of driving back from Indiana for the holidays. We spent the night in memphis and had some good BBQ not great at the blues city cafe. Some times it is amazing, other times not so much.
My snoring has gotten worse.
Hubby ordered some sound blocking ear inserts that will come in soon.
I have been trying to lie differently on my pillow to see if it helps and I think it has.

Seeing my family was great. Only my parents canceled christmas so I did not get to see them.hopefully when folks are vacinnated we will get to see them again. They are in their 80's and are just being super cautious.
I got on the scale and am very upset by the numbers. This is the heaviest I have ever been.https://mysupportforums.org/images/smilies/frown.gif
Every one was so generous to us for christmas.
It was good seeing Brian hubby's brother.

He was mentally exhausted from the selling of the house. WE stayed for the closing of the house. It was so nice to meet the buyers. A young couple. The house had new paint through out the house and newly sanded floors/finished, they looked beautiful. New screened in back porch . new electrical wiring newish plumbing, new roof new heater/air conditioning. more foundation repair. they finally sold it for $205. there had been 3 families of raccoons in the attics and they had created a mess. eating thru the insulation and wiring.It was a mess!That was the first repair clean up job. It took 9 months to finally get the house emptied and ready to sell.
It was on the market only 3 weeks.They had it staged(bring in furniture and accessories to give the buyers an idea of what their belongings would look like). once they did this the house sold in less than a week. It is what sold the house.

Brian, jeffs brother, did so much work on the house himself too.
glad that is behind him. Although he has a lot of her things that he could not get rid of.Every room in his house has things that are hers that he can't get rid of. He wants to move south, He lives 5 minutes away from his moms house, to be closer to her. Now that she is gone and the house is sold he can get on with his life. He wants to move from INDY to hattiesburg Mississippi. We asked him to move to lafayette Louisiana where we live. He is not sure where he wants to live. he needs to find a job.
Jeff and I will open up our gifts to each other and my birthday presents.
Last night we stopped and ate at our favorite restaurant in baton rouge. new orleans style BBQ shrimp. IT was delicious, and had a good sour beer that I liked a lot.
Need to get moving the house is a mess with all of our stuff everywhere and my stuff that needds to be put back into my car.
the weather is in the 40's 50's. but I feel really chilled to the bone....need to get dressed and ready to go to lunch at chris' poor boys for their gumbo.
May we all be blessed with good health and may this prove to be a better year. So long 2020, hello 2021.

I'm glad you guys got the house sold and cleaned up. I hope his brother
can move and things too.

His house is filled full of her things. Things that he can't bear to sell or get rid of. He mentioned renting a storage unit....sigh

my scrubs are so tight I feel like I have a corset on, it is so unprofessional.
I am trying to eat smaller portions, trying is the key word and not snack at night.
I have not snacked because I was on line most of the evening when I should have done some paperwork. I procrastinate so badly now.
ok time to get some ear buds so I can listen to the cooking competitions while I walk on the tred mill. My excuse for not going to planet fitness because my head set cord is wrapped up in my seat and I can't pull it out.
Brian my brother in law is in the same boat as me.
he is on day 2. He confided that he almost went and bought a gallon jug of sangria but did not. I congratulated him.
habits are hard to break.

I started trying the scarsdale keto diet. My friend Linda said she went easily from a 1x to a 19 but then went bqck up. I just gained a pound. eek

I am down a couple of pounds this week and feel a bit better. my bottoms feel fine it is the tops that are crushing. I bought x-L bottoms months ago.

bizi I have them embroided with the name of my business and name.
I will lose this weight. I am determined.
hubby just gave me his old ear buds that look comfy. So now I have no excuse but to go, it is .9 miles away from my house. I will go tonight after dinner.

I am working tomorrow, ( have to take a shower if all goes well.)

get enough sleep not ignore or snooze the alarm.
You know how much I hate to take showers.
I have lost a couple of pounds this week, 5 days af.
I actually went to the gym to walk on the tred mill.

I made a mile and spend 10 minutes on the hydro bed.
I forgot how much I like that. that will be my reward for

going to the gym. Jeff gave me some ear buds

so I can listen to one of the shows there are 5 different channels.
I use to watch the cooking competitions. But they did not have

them on. they closed at 9pm on fridays. So I had time to do the hydro bed.

I loved it. They are different since I was there last 6 months ago.
they are really a chair, lounger like.
anyway So far so good on the not drinking this week.
Am also eating less, better food choices.
Had carrot ginger soup and poppy seed chopped kale salad kit.

Jeff had tabouli and clam chowder.
I work a full day tomorrow 4 clients.
I will still have time to get my gumbo tomorrow.
Jeff bought fancy ear plugs,

did I tell you already? then are charged up and last 3 days,
he listens to tranquil cascade, rain, drone sounds etc.
He can't hear my snoring which is great for him and relieves

me of my guilt of my snoring.
I am needing to get ready for bed. It was a very good
x-files tonight.
