SteveGee. I was on Prilosec for a month or so. I did not like how it made me feel. My doctor switched me to Prevacid. They work entirely differently.

What are you doing for you anxiety? Anxiety is often a cause of excess acid.

Did you have an endoscope? Good for you if you did. One more anxious challenge that you overcame...

Anxiety

Also - my anxiety climbing because of the acid reflux/gas/ulcer situation. Now Im sleeping on an incline - have to figure out which foods trigger the refux - dont eat 4 hours before sleep. Its a bit overwhelming and anxiety producing - if that makes sense.

I wish I could stop thinking about/obsessing about it. Even dream about it.

Watch or listen to media that discuss concepts that are not anxiety triggering as the last thing you do before going to bed.

Try to memorize long passages or speeches. Bible scripture, speeches like the Gettysburg Address,

YouTube has plenty of videos of DIY projects or other How To's. Podcasts address many different topics.

There are homesteading and farming families that show you their life and projects. Wild Wonderful Off Grid. Acres of Clay, Millennial Farmer,

Check out Jordan Peterson. He has lectures, debates, and speeches that many find very helpful as they learn new ways of thinking about life.

Walter Williams will challenge you to think about some societal misunderstandings.

There is a couple who are rebuilding a salvage sailboat, Expedition Evans. There's Sampson Boat Company and others rebuilding 100 year old sailing yachts.

If you get stuck in a pity party, watch Andy at Harmless Farmer.

Matt's Off Road Recovery is entertaining.

Find things to occupy your mind that do not allow you to get stuck in your anxiety.

I start music playlists that others have arranged that will play continuously

Consider whether the Prevacid has made your anxiety worse.

We watch many of the you tubers you listed.. so much variety and knowledge on so many subjects. And so different than the standard TV/cable offerings.

Prevacid may make anxiety worse but I have to take it for a month to heal ulcer.
Thanks for the list Mark - appreciate it.

stevegee,

Pepcid is also used to heal ulcers. It reduces stomach acid but uses a different action. It has fewer side-effects.

Just an idea to discuss with your doctor and/or pharmacist.

Unfortunatly it might be parasites and flagyl is prescribed. This has been a crap 4 months.

Mark in Idaho 02-02-2021 01:21 AM

In case you get exposed to Covid, ivermectin is an anti-parasite drug and is also beneficial with Covid.
