NeuroTalk Support Groups - Pulmonary emboli and autoimmune disorders?

I've posted a few places in this forum, mostly about the nerve pain I get in my thighs (mostly my right, but sometimes my left) and about my chronic migraines.

But...I was just released from the hospital today (was admitted Wednesday) and I'm trying to figure out if this was caused by an autoimmune disorder (and if the nerve pain and chronic migraines, oh and syncope...as I also have that issue...can all be related).

A little more than 10 years ago, I was hospitalized with 3 pulmonary emobli (aka blood clots in my lungs). I was in the hospital for a number of days, receiving heparin injections and was discharged with coumadin. After a year, they took me off the coumadin.

This past Wed, I once again was hospitalized with "extensive acute bilateral pulmonary artery emboli involving all lung lobes" as well as "deep vein thrombosis left lower extremity involving the popliteal vein, posterior tibial vein, peroneal vein and gastrocnemius veins." Due to the amount of clots, they opted to put a catheter in my neck and administer "clot busting" meds directly to my lungs for 24 hours, as well as put a filter in to prevent the clots still in my leg from moving to my lungs. (The catheter was removed after 24 hours; the filter will stay in for a few months). I was also on a heparin IV during my stay in the hospital and was discharged today with Xarelto.

I know a ton of tests were done to try to figure out what caused the clots. The first time around, I know they did a bunch of tests also, but they never determined the cause.

I did notice in my results (from this time around) that have come back so far (on the app), that one of the tests says this: "A Lupus Anticoagulant is detected since one of the two confirmatory tests is positive."

I'm not 100% certain what this means. I do know it also recommends getting retested in 12 weeks for this "lupus anticoagulant."

Anyhow....I'm just wondering if anyone has knowledge of what the "lupus anticoagulant" result means.

Also, wondering if anyone knows what (if any) autoimmune disorders could cause blood clots, chronic migraines, low blood pressure and syncope (and maybe nerve pain...since not sure if that is related or not)?
