SCS from Boston Scientific- Has anyone tried it

I have idiopathic neuropathy. First visit with a pain management specialist he wanted to implant this nerve stimulator, I hadn't spoke with him for more than 5 minutes before he brought it up.

There are past posts on a few of our forum topics here, you can do a search to find those. Our search does require 4 letters or more - SCS simulator - should work.

There are also related threads at the bottom of the page that might be helpful.

I would be concerned when something like that is mentioned so soon.

I didn't know anything about Boston Scientific and looked it up. Just from glancing over its leadership, I'd say that the people in charge don't have much medical background. They're more business-related.

I think I'd want to deal with a place where the people had more medical training. I hope that this place isn't just trying to sell you a device.

Just letting you know that there is a subforum here under the Medications and Treatments Forum named

SCS and Pain Pumps Forum

It's not busy these days but you might find information there that is helpful.

OP, there is SO MUCH we can do to reduce Neuropathy, any type. I truly believe the Grape Seed Extract I've been taking for years helps me in that area. And also Inosine has helped me a lot. I've posted a lot about neuroprathy and the NP area. So much info there.
