New, scared

New here thanks.. 38m here experiencing a ton of anxiety and weird symptoms. I’ve had an increase in right hand cramps and spasms that has turned into some body cramps as well. I’m very worried about possible Als. I’m trying to see my pcp but waiting sucks. Some weird arm pains additionally . I’ve heard Als early can include cramps and spasms so my brain is going crazy. Hope to hear from people and learn.

Best

Welcome, Hammy55!

Offhand, I'd say it's much too early to be concerned about ALS based on the symptoms you mention.

There are many, many causes of cramping and spasms. Many medicines and some diet deficiencies can bring them on, for instance.

I put an end to quite a few night-time cramping problems I was having by raising my potassium level. It was low or borderline for a while but now that it's up a bit, the cramps are few and far between. They were waking me up at night and very painful.

It's good to know you have an appointment with your primary care doctor. I hope that you'll get some satisfactory answers.

OP: I would make sure magnesium levels are good in your body could add to the cramping issues. We've talked magnesium here so so much.
