Donna's December thread
 

Hi everyone,

Its really been nice here in Lafayette. Derrick ended up picking
up a Tuesday night shift yesterday. So I took him and picked
him up. It looks like he will start working on Tuesday nights.
Maybe instead of doubles. Which is totally fine with me.
He will hopefully start scheduling the bus to take and pick
him up after this week. That will be even better most of the
time.

I am still very busy and looking forward to my last two weeks of
work and then Christmas break. Its coming. I'm looking forward
to a nice break.

Donna you have been working hard,

glad to hear you are going to get some time off at christmas.

Neat. How long will your vacation be. I bet you work really hard. Don't know where you get your energy from.

Since I can work on my couch or in this case Derrick's couch thanks
to Covid. It makes the energy less necessary. It makes my keeping
my data in my database a little harder because I don't always get
it all entered. Because I don't like over entering. And sometimes
it seems like I talked to same parent 10 times in a day.

But I really enjoy what I do, so it makes it easier to do it.

I took the week of Thanksgiving off because I felt I needed it and
now in two weeks we get two weeks off. We always get that its so
nice.

Great to hear that you took off a week at thanksgiving and now 2 weeks around christmas.

The whole of IN*SOURCE gets about two weeks for christmas vacation.
So it makes in so nice. And I am really happy with the outcome
of my meeting this morning. It went well for my parent and child.

Also Derrick is ready to go to work tonight. And I have WIll tomorrow.
It should be interesting. Derrick will be working, but I have to
pick him up tomorrow so we might eat dinner there at O'Charleys.

They had cancelled Derrick's basketball practice today. Which was
so nice, because it was pouring down raining when we went to
run some errands. So I was originally returning home today for
the week till next weekend. But I'm staying till tomorrow. Because
I dont like driving in the rain. And so that is good.

William and I had a great day yesterday, and even though he spent
the day doing homework it was fine. Derrick had a great day at work.
Other than right after he got there they had a lockin, which was odd.

And not to many employees or customers either one there. But he
did his usual good. And other than being tired last night he was good.
I'm so glad not only does he like his job. They like him.

They had to lock the doors so only the employees already there.
Could be there. Usually its for an criminal being caught.

But Derrick thinks they had a break with there computer system,
and something like that. And it was corrupted or something.
So they had to shut it down and fix it .

Well I came home this morning about 11 am. It was a good thing.
I seem to have not put on my calendar a google meet.
But I got the invite and got in to the meeting, and things went
well. So all was good.

I've been worried because I couldn't get the one for tomorrow morning,
so far I still haven't received it. Will see if it comes tonight. And then
wont worry. I told mom on Friday if it didn't come I wouldn't be there.

Anyway, I had a windy ride home. And it is cold in the house. Not sure
why the wind is so bad today.
Derrick, is printing out a cookbook, for his keto. And giving it for
christmas. He used all the ink from his new printer, so I'll have to
get him new ink before I go back.
